Vodafone celebrates Friendship

International Day of Friendship is a day to appreciate and promote friendships from all backgrounds. Celebrated across the globe on July 30, 2022, the day aims to bridge the gaps between factors such as race, language and culture. This year’s theme is “Sharing the human spirit through friendship” and Vodafone did just that when they donated to the non-profit organization, Friends of POMGen.

In June of this year, Friends of POMGen made an appeal to the public for various items that sick babies and children needed at the Port Moresby General Hospital and like many others, Vodafone was quick to give. Vodafone’s PR & Sponsorship Manager Ms. Charmaine ToRobert said “True kindness lies within the act of giving without expecting anything in return and by supporting this cause we hope to put a smile on a struggling parents or child’s face.”

Friends of POMGen representative, Ms. Grace had this to say, “We rely heavily on donations and this kind gesture from Vodafone will go a long way. We have been blessed to receive donations from so many amazing people and organisations and for that we are truly grateful.”
